How To Change The Capitalization, Or Case Of Selected Text In Notion

Notion still has no dedicated Change Case command. There is no uppercase, lowercase, or title case control in the editor. If you pasted ALL CAPS into a page, or need a heading in Title Case, you still have practical options: copy the text into Word, ask Notion AI to rewrite the selection, paste a snippet into a one-off converter, or use AnyCase for an in-place shortcut.
What Is Notion?
Notion is a workspace for notes, wikis, and project docs. Teams use it as a hub for writing, planning, and the kinds of work that used to live in several separate tools. This article is about changing selected text case in Notion. Notion currently offers many locale options — about 22, including English variants, Japanese, French, German, Spanish variants, Portuguese, Chinese variants, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, and Italian — but none of those settings add a Change Case command.
Copy the text into Microsoft Word
Word can change case. Notion cannot. After you paste the text into Word, use Home → Change Case and pick Sentence case, lowercase, UPPERCASE, Capitalize Each Word, or tOGGLE cASE. Or press Shift+F3 to cycle cases. Shift+F3 is a Word shortcut. It does nothing useful for this in Notion.
- In Notion, select the text whose case you need to change.
- Copy it, then open Word and paste it into a new document.
- Select the pasted text.
- On the Home tab, click Change Case (Aa). Choose Sentence case, lowercase, UPPERCASE, Capitalize Each Word, or tOGGLE cASE. Or press Shift+F3 until the selection is the case you want.
- Copy the converted text and paste it back into Notion.
This works. It also means switching applications for every conversion.
Ask Notion AI to rewrite the selection
Notion AI can edit selected text without leaving the page. Select a block, then Ask AI. From there you can Improve Writing, Proofread, or Reformat. That can change how the text reads, including capitalization, but it is not a dedicated deterministic Change Case command. You are asking a model to rewrite, not flipping a case switch.

If the text is not already in Notion, or you only need to convert a snippet once, use the free case converter. That page pastes converted text. It does not rewrite the open Notion page.
Convert in place with AnyCase (third-party, Windows)
Notion has no Change Case command. AnyCase converts the selection in place on Windows. It is not a Notion feature.
- Download AnyCase.
- Install it as you would any other Windows program, and leave it open.
- In Notion on Windows, select the text whose case you want to change.
- Hold Shift, then right-click the selection and choose the case. Ordinary right-click alone opens the usual Notion menu.
Final thoughts
Notion still has no Change Case command of its own. Copying into Word (Home → Change Case, or Shift+F3) is the documented Microsoft Office workaround. Notion AI can Improve Writing, Proofread, or Reformat a selected block, but that is a rewrite, not a dedicated case switch. For a one-off paste, use the free case converter.
